The Fairfax Boot fits true-to-size in length & width for most feet.

Size guide: Order the size you most commonly wear in US-sized sneakers.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size.
• For example: If some of your sneakers are 9 and some are 9.5, order a 9.5 in our boots.

Width: E - All our boots are an E width. This means a little more breathing room than standard shoe width (D).

Wide Foot? Most people with EE width find our boots fit them well if they either (a) go up a half size, (b) replace our standard insole with a thinner insole for more room, or (c) do both.
• You can do the same thing (a) or (b) if you prefer a roomier toe box or like to wear thicker socks. Either way gives you a little more wiggle room around your toes.
• Regardless of the insole you go with, our industry-leading PORON® foam footbed is still at the base of it all to provide premium shock absorption and quick rebound.

Full sizes: 8 - 15
Half sizes: 8.5 - 11.5

Boot pair of boots that I own!

I bought my first pair of Wilcox boots (Fairfax brown) around 2017 at a warehouse sale. If I remember correctly, these were all of the "defective" items that they couldn't sell at full price (I think my boots had a scuff on them when I purchased them). I have got to say that these are easily the most comfortable boots that I own, and they look amazing! I deal with a lot of agricultural businesses for work, and the Fairfax is my go-to when visiting clients. They're rugged enough to handle farms / factories / work sites, and "nice" enough to wear in my meetings with clients and business people. After 7 years, they have held up wonderfully, and I haven't needed to repair them at all! I'm wildly impressed with their build quality and the craftsmanship that was put into developing these boots. These days, it's rare that you see clothing/footwear that is built to last like these have. Plus, I get compliments on them all the time.

Great boots for going out on the town, riding my motorcycle, and now I use my 6 year old pair in these pictures for work. I’m an excavator and now it’s really hot outside… I’ve started to wear these for a cooler alternative to my usual pair of watertight hiking boots. Very comfortable. Little too fancy for my type of work but since they are pretty old…I figured what do I have to loose. I definitely got my moneys worth out of this pair. My new ones are pretty much identical except for some slight changes company has made. I’m sure I’ll get years out of my new pair.

Not as comfy as my first pair…but still a great pair of boots.

I bought these to replace a pair of fairfax boots i bought several years ago and simply wore them out. These seem to be a bit more narrow than my last pair and the leather is nice, but taking longer to break in. Over all for the price of these boots you can’t beat the quality and comfort.

Wilcox Boots

Comfy, but dry…and…

My Fairfax’s are very comfortable out of the box! No need for break-in! BUT…the boot leather was really dry when I received them. I put a coating of Huberd’s Shoe Grease on them and now they’re fine. AND…the shoelaces on these boots were flimsy, so were the ones on my Shilohs. Replaced both pair.

Really like these boots

This was my first pair of Wilcox boots. Didn’t know how to size them…. Took two tries to finally get the right size but customer service was great. Once I got the the right ones they have been awesome. Wear them often. Well made, look sharp and really comfortable. Will be a repeat customer.

GOOD TO GO

The Fairfax is fit for whatever you're up to - casual, dusty, or thanks to the brogue detail even a little dressy when they need to.

Wear them with worn-in jeans & a leather jacket, or with a shirt and blue jeans for a laid back look.

They'll work with whatever you're working with.

CLOUDCUSH️™ COMFORT

Layer 1: Natural cork base layer that creates an imprint of the wearer's foot. The cork slowly forms to your foot over time, and increases the comfort of the pair every wear.

Layer 2: CELTEC® shaped shank that provides stability to the boot, and helps with arch support.

Layer 3: Anti-microbial PORON® foam footbed which makes the boots feel soft right from the first wear and provides premium shock absorption and quick rebound from sunrise to sunset.

Layer 4: Removable OrthoBoost™ foam insole to provide all-day support and give your feet a soft cradling feel (that would please most podiatrists).

Removable OrthoBoost™ Insole

Shoe Construction

The heritage constructed Fairfax boot features a 360° Goodyear Welt with a two-part natural rubber sole.

The full-grain leather uppers and calfskin lining make it incredibly durable yet comfortable enough to wear all day.

GOODYEAR WELT

The welt is a strip of leather about an inch wide that connects the upper leather to the midsole. Its outer edge cam be seen around the edge of the boot.

This is the tell-tale sign of the highest tier of shoemaking that allows boots to be easily resoled and fully rebuilt, allowing them to last for years to come

FULL-GRAIN UPPERS

This means the leather used on our boots has not been sanded, buffed, or treated in anyway to remove natural imperfections. Sanding or buffing removes the layer of skin below the hair, but this is the strongest and most durable part of the hide - so you don't want to lose it.

This leather shows characteristics of the hide it came from, and only gets better with age.

CALFSKIN LINING

This age of leather is perfect for the inside of the boot. It's buttery smooth but still durable and breathable.

Behind the lining the boots are generously padded on the upper, the quarters, and the tongue. At the back of the boots, there's a generous cushioning all around the collar. Together, this makes for a snug pair of boots.
