"I prefer the boots over tennis shoes hands down." - Wilcox Wearer
Say goodbye to aching arches, heels and knees. We have no time for long break-in periods, hefty price tags and boots that fall apart in less than a year.
We only makes boots that
• are built to last
• support your feet & back
• are fairly priced
To see you through years of adventures, we use the very best materials and methods to craft every pair. The support from each pair's CloudCush™️ Comfort system means your feet (and body) will be up for the the shenanigans.
Built to last. These are not your average boots. Every pair is built with our 4 layer CloudCush™️ Comfort system on the inside:
Read more about what this means for your feet here.
The top layer is a removable insole so you can easily adapt your pair to fit orthotics, custom insoles, heel lifts or inserts.
The outside of the boots are made of full-grain waxed cow leather (the toughest kind of leather to last through the years). The inside is lined with soft buttery calfskin from heel-to-toe.
The Shiloh has a two-part mini-lug natural rubber outsole that can easily be replaced by your local cobbler thanks to each pair's 360° Goodyear Welt construction.
Have the odd mark and scuff on your boots? Don't worry this tells you the leather on your boots is top quality and adds to their character. However, if you want that fresh-out-of-the-box look follow our boot care instructions here.
The Shiloh Boot fits true-to-size in length & width for most feet.
Size guide: Order the size you most commonly wear in US-sized sneakers.
Between sizes? Choose the larger size.
• For example: If some of your sneakers are 9 and some are 9.5, order a 9.5 in our boots.
Width: E - All our boots are an E width. This means a little more breathing room than standard shoe width (D).
Wide Foot? Most people with EE width find our boots fit them well if they either (a) go up a half size, (b) replace our standard insole with a thinner insole for more room, or (c) do both.
• You can do the same thing (a) or (b) if you prefer a roomier toe box or like to wear thicker socks. Either way gives you a little more wiggle room around your toes.
• Regardless of the insole you go with, our industry-leading PORON® foam footbed is still at the base of it all to provide premium shock absorption and quick rebound.
Full sizes: 8 - 15
Half sizes: 8.5 - 11.5
Layer 1: Natural cork base layer that creates an imprint of the wearer's foot. The cork slowly forms to your foot over time, and increases the comfort of the pair every wear.
Layer 2: CELTEC® shaped shank that provides stability to the boot, and helps with arch support.
Layer 3: Anti-microbial PORON® foam footbed which makes the boots feel soft right from the first wear and provides premium shock absorption and quick rebound from sunrise to sunset.
Layer 4: Removable OrthoBoost™ foam insole to provide all-day support and give your feet a soft cradling feel (that would please most podiatrists).
GOOD TO GO
The simple and classic lines of the Shiloh boot make them perfect to wear right from the shop to a night out.
Wear them with your favorite jeans and a hoodie to head out camping. Or dress 'em up with khakis and a collared shirt for a special occasion.
They'll work with whatever you're working with.
I am an art teacher and I was looking for a rugged boot that would take a beating and provide all day comfort. My classroom is made out of concrete so being on my feet for 10-12 hours a day adds up. The quality of the construction is great, it did take about a week to break in. I ordered a 1/2 size down from my normal shoe size and at 11.5 they fit well. They are comfortable to wear all day and even more so once broken in.
The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because they leave marks on my floor at work. Perhaps it is the coating of the concrete or the quality of the rubber on the boot, who knows. But I was a little disappointed that the sole was marking the floor.
Overall they are a great boot and I look forward to seeing how they hold up at the end of the school year. Pictures are of the first couple of weeks of wear.
I love this boots! Very comfortable and great looking boots. Really looks nice with casual pants and jeans. I mainly got it for riding my moto and I find it that you can wear it anywhere! Looks rugged and casual. A little on the warm side during summer. Markings on the left boot are from my motorcycle clutch.
Fit is a tiny bit snug but boots are comfortable and extremely nice. I use them for riding my street bike. Definitely will purchase another pair for my son when he gets his motorcycle license
What can I say a new boot person my first impressions are after receiving them I had to inspect them. I like the design along with the quality of the leather.
The fit is snug but I expect that to change with time and wear. Looking forward to see what’s to come from more time as they break in and I use them for daily wear.
Best boots I’ve ever purchased. I’ve had these for 7 years. I took them to an old school shoe shop to have them cleaned and they were extremely impressed by the boot. I expect another 10 years out of these. Comfortable, rugged, all around best shoes I’ve ever purchased
I just received mg Shiloh’s a few weeks ago and have been wearing them a lot over the past week while helping my friend remodel some bedrooms. The biggest thing I appreciate is that these boots provide support without destroying my feet while they break in, no rubbing at all! I have also gotten several complements on them which is always nice. I can tell they are very sturdily made and look forward to wearing them for many more years.
The heritage constructed Shiloh boot features a 360° Goodyear Welt with a two-part natural rubber sole.
The full-grain leather uppers and calfskin lining make the Shiloh boot incredibly durable yet comfortable enough to wear all day.
The welt is a strip of leather about an inch wide that connects the upper leather to the midsole. Its outer edge cam be seen around the edge of the boot.
This is the tell-tale sign of the highest tier of shoemaking that allows boots to be easily resoled and fully rebuilt, allowing them to last for years to come
This means the leather used on our boots has not been sanded, buffed, or treated in anyway to remove natural imperfections. Sanding or buffing removes the layer of skin below the hair, but this is the strongest and most durable part of the hide - so you don't want to lose it.
This leather shows characteristics of the hide it came from, and only gets better with age.
This age of leather is perfect for the inside of the boot. It's buttery smooth but still durable and breathable.
Behind the lining the boots are generously padded on the upper, the quarters, and the tongue. At the back of the boots, there's a generous cushioning all around the collar. Together, this makes for a snug pair of boots.
